About the Bidding Intelligence group The Bidding Intelligence group is responsible for several of Liftoffs most fundamental performance systems in addition to identifying and developing greenfield areas. Liftoff operates and bids in millions of auctions per second. To drive value for our customers, we must continuously find ways to use a variety of data sources to train deep learning models and develop innovative approaches to make the right bidding decision in every auction. As a Software Engineer on the Bidding Intelligence group, you will: <ul> <li>Work with an experienced team of ML, Software, and Infrastructure Engineers</li> <li>Design, engineer &amp; implement reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient systems</li> <li>Support building machine learning models to make accurate bidding decisions in millions of auctions per second</li> <li>Achieve core business objectives by enabling next generation ML models and technologies</li> <li>Utilize vendor-based products (AWS, Weights &amp; Biases, etc.), open source technologies (PyTorch, PySpark, etc.), and in-house tooling</li> </ul> Required qualities and experiences: <ul> <li>8+ years of industry experience in Software Engineering and/or Infrastructure</li> <li>B.S. or higher in Computer Science</li> <li>Very strong coding ability</li> <li>Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms</li> <li>Experience building low-latency, high-throughput, distributed backend services</li> <li>Experience building data-intensive applications</li> <li>Good team communication and collaboration skills</li> </ul> <h2>Nice to have:</h2> <ul> <li>Previous experience in ad-tech</li> <li>Experience building machine learning tooling and/or platforms</li> <li>Python, Golang</li> <li>ML, PyTorch, PySpark</li> <li>Game theory, auction theory</li> </ul> Working at Liftoff is fast-paced, fun, and challenging, and we thrive on innovation. Base compensation will vary based on the candidates location and experience.
