We deliver the Life360 mobile apps weekly and fearlessly with a quality-oriented engineering culture.  Individuals on our team are motivated, trusted, and continuously focused on technical perfection.</p> <h3>About the Job</h3> <p>As a <strong>Senior Mobile (Android) Build and Release Engineer</strong> on the Life360 Engineering team, you will help keep the Mobile CI/CD pipeline running at top speed.  We need smart and passionate engineers who are obsessed with squeezing every bit of performance out of a build system and ensuring we safely deliver our apps to market. You will work with app developers and test engineers to provide consistent, high-confidence delivery through our CI/CD pipelines.</p> <p><strong>For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $123,000 to 180,500 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is 145,000 to 169,500 CAD.</strong> <strong>Note: Please be aware that the job title for positions in Canada will be Developer in lieu of Engineer. </strong>We take into consideration an individuals background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Build, maintain, and operate our mobile app CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Operate our build infrastructure, including working with vendor partners</li> <li>Create the next-generation developer tooling and infrastructure for Life360’s mobile apps, focusing on productivity, testing, and release</li> <li>Track and monitor the usage/consumption of Infrastructure services; ensure performance, SLA, and cost control adherence</li> <li>Develop telemetry and alerting for opportunities to improve build infrastructure and tooling, and execute on them</li> <li>Monitor and fix build pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and make improvements </li> <li>Collaborate with leadership and key partners regularly</li> <li>Keep the build pipelines updated as newer versions of Android are released</li> <li>Making developers happy and productive is at the core of your mission</li> </ul> <h3>What We’re Looking For</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience</li> <li>5+ years of hands-on technical experience</li> <li>Proficient in one system language like Kotlin or Java and scripting languages like Python, Go, Ruby</li> <li>Experience with build tools like Gradle or Maven</li> <li>Experience with containerizing build workloads</li> <li>Experience with Fastlane deployment</li> <li>Experience with Mobile App Distribution to the Google Play Store</li> <li>Experience with developing automated internal frameworks, increasing developer and release velocity, improving code health, and building developer tools</li> <li>Experience with CI/CD principles, architecture, and operations </li> <li>Working experience with Buildkite, Jenkins, CircleCI or other CI/CD platforms</li> <li>Strong understanding of Android development, networking, log analysis tools, and app release</li> </ul> <h3>Our Benefits</h3> <ul> <li>Competitive pay and benefits.</li> <li>Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for US employees).
