Join the Club!<h2></h2><h2>About the Role</h2>We are looking for a Sr Manager, Credit Strategy &amp; Pricing, who is an organized and motivated player-coach, with a strong sense of ownership. As a key member of the credit risk management team, you will be responsible for developing risk strategies, creating, and tracking appropriate KPIs, and serve as an active stakeholder in flawless implementation. You will develop and implement the underwriting and pricing strategy for Auto Refinance, an important and growing segment for LendingClub.<h2></h2><h2>What Youll Do</h2><ul><li>Develop, gain approval, and implement credit risk strategies that involve elements of credit underwriting, pricing, loan amount assignment and verification based on an estimation of probability of default</li><li>Design A/B tests to help understand risk return tradeoffs using hypothesis testing frameworks</li><li>Craft automated dashboards to track KPIs around funnel conversion and strategy/portfolio performance; summarize and present findings to senior management</li><li>Use analytical techniques to mine loan performance data, identify pockets of underperformance and conduct root cause analysis to help recommend risk mitigation strategies</li><li>Measure credit expansion opportunities to optimize risk-adjusted revenue</li><li>Expand existing set of data used in credit decisioning process by evaluating information, value of non-traditional data sources and by re-engineering use of existing data elements</li><li>Manage and measure data quality, coverage, and freshness.</li><li>Taking ownership in developing, executing and driving solutions independently for partnership channels</li><li>Work closely with technology and engineering teams to ensure new strategies are implemented accurately and as designed</li><li>Develop and provide regular reporting on project status and ensure timely communication at senior level meetings</li><li>Partner with cross-functional team to ensure the effective execution of new partnerships managing all stages including partner onboarding, launch, performance monitoring and ongoing tracking of credit performance and optimization</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>About You</h2><ul><li>6+ years of experience in some combination of credit, analytics, risk management, and data science</li><li>Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics); or equivalent work experience</li><li>Must be self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-oriented and fast paced environment</li><li>Strong technical skills such as SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau, with familiarity with big data and cloud environments</li><li>Strong MS-Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate project scope in documentation and presentation format</li><li>Previous experience in the financial or fintech industry, preferably in auto lending is a plus</li></ul>Work Location San Francisco The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level. Time Zone Requirements Primarily PT While the position will primarily work local hours, LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary. Travel Requirements As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed. Compensation The target base salary range for this position is 147,000-170,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClub’s Total Rewards package.
