Join the Club!<h2></h2><h2>About the Role</h2>As a key member of the Credit Risk Team, you will be responsible for managing and crafting risk strategies along with developing and tracking appropriate metrics. You will develop and implement the underwriting and pricing strategy for LendingClub’s personal loan product. You will find opportunities to improve yield for the investors while maintaining reasonable loss rate as well as improve financial performance of LendingClub.<h2></h2><h2>What Youll Do</h2><ul><li>Assist to develop, implement and handle credit risk strategies that involve elements of credit underwriting, pricing, loan amount assignment and verification based on an estimation of probability of default</li><li>Help design A/B tests to help understand risk return tradeoffs using hypothesis testing frameworks</li><li>Craft automated dashboards to track KPIs around funnel conversion and strategy/portfolio performance; summarize and present findings to senior management</li><li>Use analytical techniques to mine loan performance data and identify pockets of underperformance and conduct root cause analysis to help recommend risk mitigation strategies</li><li>Measure credit expansion opportunities to optimize risk-adjusted revenue</li><li>Expand existing set of data used in credit decisioning process by evaluating information; value of non-traditional data sources and by re-engineering use of existing data elements</li><li>Work closely with technology teams to ensure new strategies are implemented accurately and as designed</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>About You</h2><ul><li>2-3 years of experience in analytics, credit, or risk management</li><li>Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics); or equivalent work experience</li><li>Technical skills such as SQL/SAS, R/Python</li><li>Hands on experience with BI/data visualization tools (like Tableau or Excel to create dashboards)</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>Work Location San FranciscoThe above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level.Time Zone Requirements Primarily PTWhile the position will primarily work local hours, LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.Travel Requirements As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed.Compensation The target base salary range for this position is 109,000-125,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClub’s Total Rewards package.
