<p>Leidos is seeking a <b>Senior Systems Integration &amp; Test Engineer </b>who will be a member of a dynamic team on the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program. TFDM is a system that will improve aircraft runway and terminal congestion. Nationwide congestion is increasing, and the need for efficient aircraft traffic planning is critical. TFDM is the surface management solution that will provide NextGen Air Traffic Control capabilities to improve air traffic operations in the National Airspace System (NAS). TFDM program is a Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) NextGen program based on airport surface management provides that efficiencies for both the airport surface and terminal airspace by providing a new and comprehensive integrated surface traffic control and management system.</p><p></p><p>Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Perform testing in Physical and Virtual test labs to ensure the system, test procedure, and test inputs are prepared to execute with the customer present</li><li>Perform formal test execution with the customer and Quality Assurance organizations present</li><li>Execute procedures that verify the system is properly configured and operating in the NAS</li><li>Coordinate activities, communication, and planning efforts with FAA and Leidos personnel</li><li>Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues</li><li>Able to understand System Level Requirements and perform system interface checkouts</li><li>Work with team lead to provide guidance to fellow test team members and ensure team goals are appropriately set to meet all program milestones</li><li>Execute commands for remote support staff (ILE/Networking) and provide feedback to solve problems remotely</li><li>Analyze identified issues in conjunction with System Engineering and Software in regard to developing solutions</li><li>Learn system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements</li><li>Collaborate with the TFDM system engineering team to develop test approaches for new and modified requirements</li><li>Execute commands for remote support staff (ILE/Networking) and provide feedback to solve problems remotely</li><li>Ability to conduct Testing at Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCT) in operational site conditions with the FAA customer when required</li><li>Perform formal test execution with the customer and quality assurance organizations</li><li>Coordinate activities, communication, and planning efforts with FAA and Leidos personnel</li><li>Able to understand XML data and ability to troubleshoot connection issues with network configurations, IP addresses, JMS queue configurations, etc.</li><li>Demonstrate test execution to the FAA on a run for record to achieve customer acceptance of the content per release</li><li>Be able to support travel (10% of time)</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5+ years of professional experience; or a Masters degree with 3+ years of professional experience</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer</li><li>Experience with UNIX/Linux operating, troubleshoot connection /network configurations skills   </li><li>Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process</li><li>Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with internal and external customer</li><li>Willing to collaborate with FAA customer on sites to build system knowledge</li></ul><p></p><p>Desired Skills:</p><ul><li>Possess advanced integration skills and the ability to work independently in the following categories of integration:<ul><li>New system functionality integration</li><li>External Interface integration checkouts during risk reduction activities</li><li>Regression testing</li><li>Analyzing identified issues and help determine a solution</li><li>Problem identification/analysis</li></ul></li><li>A good academic understanding and/or exposure to system engineering practices to contribute to and/or assist with system integration, requirements engineering, operational and decision analysis, systems definition, requirements baseline control and management</li><li>FAA Air Traffic Domain Knowledge </li><li>Experience with formal test with a government agency/customer</li><li>Knowledge of interfacing systems in the NAS such as FDIO, STARS, TBFM, ASDE-X</li></ul><p></p><p>At Leidos, we don’t want someone who fits the mold—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better.
