<p>Leidos has openings for (Remote) Senior Software Developers to support the RD Voice Development team. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for all phases of software development ranging from: design and coding to integrating and reviewing software components, from testing and bug fixing to documentation, building and presenting demos to stakeholders.</p><p></p><p><u>These positions are <b>contingent</b> on contract award.</u></p><div><div><div><div><div><p></p></div></div></div></div></div><p><b>Primarily Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li>Developing software in a Linux cross-compiler environment in C, using a chroot environment for development and standard Linux debugging tools</li><li>Designing and developing software by applying company’s processes, coding rules, quality and safety standards</li><li>Producing well-documented code, participate in code reviews, and provide timely status to the Project Management team</li><li>Analyzing system requirements and create detailed software requirements specifications for implementation in various software development phases</li><li>Developing software in a Linux cross-compiler environment in C, ensuring code quality and adherence to industry standards</li><li>Conducting testing and validation of software components, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure reliability and functionality</li><li>Participating in design reviews, code reviews, and other team activities to provide technical expertise and ensure alignment with project goals</li><li>Staying current with industry trends and advancements, contributing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement</li><li>Supporting troubleshooting efforts and providing technical assistance to resolve software-related issues during development and post-production phases</li><li>Document software designs, specifications, and test procedures to maintain comprehensive records and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to implement software solutions that meet system specifications and performance criteria</li></ul><div><p></p><p><b>Typical Education and Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field and at least 7 years full-time C software development experience;</li><li>Experience with Linux programming interface and standard command-line tools;</li><li>Experience with distributed software architectures;</li><li>Knowledge of networking concepts and Linux network stack programming is highly desirable;</li><li>Practical knowledge of data structures and algorithms;</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Understanding of voice communication, voice signaling concepts and relevant standards like SIP and RTP</li><li>Experience with software development in safety-critical projects</li><li>Experience with packet analyzers</li></ul><p></p><p>Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
