This position is part of a structured rotational development program designed for recent graduates seeking hands-on experience across three core disciplines — Program Management, Data Science, and Software Engineering.<br /><br />You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of how large-scale technology programs are managed, measured, and modernized — all while contributing to a mission that connects and secures the Army’s global network.</p><p></p><p>Primary Responsibilities</p><p></p><p>During the 12- to 18-month rotational period (minimum of 4 months per rotation), the Junior Business Analyst will:</p><p></p><p>Program Management Office (PMO) Rotation</p><ul><li><p>Support planning, scheduling, and cost tracking activities</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Assist in preparing and analyzing program dashboards, reports, and deliverables</p></li><li><p>Contribute to process improvement and reporting excellence initiatives</p></li><li><p>Gain exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM), risk tracking, and performance metrics</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Data Science &amp; Analytics Rotation</p><ul><li><p>Assist in data tagging, organization, and analytics pipeline development</p></li><li><p>Learn how data drives decisions across enterprise IT operations</p></li><li><p>Support development of visualizations and reporting dashboards</p></li><li><p>Contribute to automation, AI/ML tagging, and predictive analysis efforts</p></li></ul><p><br />Software Engineering &amp; Development Rotation</p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with software developers on automation, application enhancements, and workflow tools</p></li><li><p>Participate in agile stand-ups, sprint reviews, and code walkthroughs</p></li><li><p>Learn DevSecOps practices and version control fundamentals</p></li><li><p>Help design and test software components that enhance service delivery</p></li></ul><p><br />At the end of the program, the analyst will have developed a strong foundation across all three functional areas — positioning them for a full-time role in project management, analytics, or software engineering</p><p></p><p>Basic Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field and 2 years + experience.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for learning across technical and management domains</p></li><li><p>Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment</p></li><li><p>Public Trust Clearance and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Internship or coursework experience in program/project management, data analytics, or software development</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Python, JIRA, or Excel advanced functions</p></li><li><p>Exposure to Agile or Lean methodologies</p></li><li><p>Strong interest in national security, defense, or large-scale IT programs</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>At Leidos, we don’t want someone who fits the mold—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better.
