Work with the Customer, Customer End Users, Program Manager, Senior Systems Architect, Lead Software Engineer, and Test Manager to refine customer high-level requirements into features and workflows that can be implemented by the software team.  The candidate should have a working knowledge of how the USG conducts analysis of nuclear weapon employment and understands nuclear weapon effects. We develop a custom software system that system implements a variety of complex science based microservices used in the analysis of nuclear weapon effects. This position is focused on capturing and enhancing user workflows to develop prototype workflows that can be implemented by the software team.

This position does allow the ability to work remote but the candidate MUST be able to be on site as needed for at least 1 day a week.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work with Customer and Customer End User to capture high-level requirements and convert them into features that can be implemented by the software team. 
• Work with the Program Manager, Senior System Architect, and Lead Software Engineer to translate high-level requirements into descriptive feature designs that can be implemented by the software team and tested by the test team. 
• Assist the Customer and Customer End Users in understanding how to use the new features and provide guidance to the external training team on how best to provide training on the usage of the features.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of experience or a Masters Degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience might be considered in lieu of a degree. 
• US Citizen with at least a DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain a SCI.
• Understanding of nuclear weapon employment
• Understanding of the analysis of nuclear weapon effects
• Understanding of development of functional use cases.
• Experience working with customers to articulate and codify requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Agile Development methodology
• Demonstrated experience in requirements management and functional system designs.
• Understands the basic processes of software development and associated life cycles.
• Ability to provide technical training in a classroom environment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
