The Workday Sr Integration / Extend Developer is part of the HR Tech team and requires deep technical expertise in Workday Integration tools, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow and system connectivity.As a key technical expert, the Workday Sr. Integration / Extend Developer supports a portfolio of existing integrations and will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient integration solutions. This position requires strong knowledge of core design principles, common data modeling and patterns, project implementation methodology and a successful record of delivering high-quality integrations.The Workday Sr. Integration / Extend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, and APIs. This role also requires expertise in troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing integration performance, and ensuring data security and compliance. Additionally, the developer will proactively identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and integration efficiencies to support the evolving needs of the business.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Identify, assess, and solve sophisticated business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across a wide array of Human Capital Management functions, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors</li><li>Lead the design, build, and testing of Workday integration code base including Studio, EIB, Cloud Connect, Orchestrate, API, RaaS, DT, Extend and supporting 3rd party coding</li><li>Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.</li><li>Work with business to analyze, research, debug and resolve Workday Integration production related issues.</li><li>Identify opportunities to enhance integration performance, automate processes, and improve system efficiency.</li><li>Ensure integrations adhere to security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards.</li><li>Lead integration testing activities, prepare test scripts, conduct Unit and UAT testing.</li><li>Write and maintain XSLT, and MVEL expressions to manipulate data and automate business logic within Workday Studio Integrations</li><li>Thoroughly document integration processes, configurations for future reference</li><li>Experience working in Agile environments, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field</li><li>6+ years of demonstrated ability with data migration, integration development, report building / RaaS, or software development</li><li>4+ years of experience in Workday Integrations development, including Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, Web Services (SOAP, REST), Extend, and Workday APIs.</li><li>Prior Workday Extend experience, developing at least 2+ app use cases required.</li></ul>Skills and Competencies:<ul><li>Hands-on Workday experience developing and supporting end-to-end Integrations across multiple functions, such as Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, Finance, Benefits, IT and Procurement</li><li>Experience in all phases of the technology implementation lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and launch)</li><li>Experience in leading a design session, reviewing, and assisting in the creation of project deliverables</li><li>Advanced skills with RaaS, EDI, Web Services, XSLT, Java, .Net or other integration technology</li><li>Experience in dealing with XML and JSON data structures</li><li>Proficiency in MVEL (MVFLEX Expression Language) and XSLT for writing custom business logic within Workday Studio Integrations.</li><li>Familiar with XML Transformations, Namespaces, XSD</li><li>Experience in dealing with SOAP and REST APIs</li><li>Familiar with ServiceNow case management</li><li>Adept working with agile methodologies and delivery</li><li>Effective communication skills in explaining complex concepts in simple terms and understanding HR internal and vendor processes</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li></ul>Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
