The ideal candidate will have experience working in banking or financial services and with deep expertise in <strong>HP NonStop</strong> mainframes and mission-critical payment systems. This role requires hands-on experience with core NonStop technologies, transaction processing environments, and high-availability architectures.<strong><br /></strong></p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain applications in <strong>TAL, COBOL, and TACL</strong> on HP NonStop systems.</li> <li>Build and support payment processing services, including gateways, authorization engines, and settlement modules.</li> <li>Collaborate with teams to optimize and scale transaction systems for <strong>high throughput and availability</strong>.</li> <li>Implement and tune solutions within <strong>HP Pathway</strong> and <strong>Guardian OS</strong> environments.</li> <li>Develop monitoring, logging, and recovery processes to ensure uninterrupted operations.</li> <li>Support system upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts while preserving legacy system functionality.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Required Experience</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Strong background in <strong>HP NonStop Mainframes</strong> (Tandem/Guardian environment).</li> <li>Proven expertise in <strong>TAL (Tandem Advanced Language)</strong>, <strong>COBOL</strong>, and <strong>TACL scripting</strong>.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>payment systems</strong>, card networks, and transaction gateways.</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>HP Pathways</strong>, <strong>Guardian OS IPC mechanisms</strong>, and system libraries.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of <strong>high availability, fault-tolerant architectures, and scalable transaction processing</strong>.</li> <li>Experience debugging across <strong>TAL, COBOL, and TACL components</strong>.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Prior work in <strong>financial services, banking, or telecom transaction environments</strong>.</li> <li>Experience migrating TAL modules to <strong>pTAL, C, or C++</strong> while preserving COBOL integration.</li> <li>Knowledge of <strong>SQL/Enscribe databases</strong> on HP NonStop.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills for <strong>performance tuning and debugging hybrid systems</strong>.</li> </ul> </li> </ul><div><div> </div> <p>Our success over the past 20 years is rooted in our exceptional team, which thrives in a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. <br /><br />We are proud to offer our employees a range of benefits, including competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements, all designed to help them thrive.
