This person will serve on our assessments team and contribute to key data initiatives to support our principal and senior psychometricians. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in statistics and/or psychometrics and related tooling.    WHAT YOULL DO: <ul> <li>Extract and transform assessment data</li> <li>Perform psychometric and other statistical analyses  (e.g., item analysis, test analysis, survey analysis)</li> <li>Track and report on assessment metrics, including reporting via technical documentation</li> <li>Support senior and principal psychometricians with assessment projects, including automated scoring and computer adaptive testing (CAT)</li> <li>Assist with and conduct standard setting meetings with subject-matter experts</li> <li>Contribute to research efforts exploring the intersection of ML, generative AI, and psychometrics</li> </ul>   WHAT YOU BRING: <ul> <li>You are motivated by the Khan Academy mission “to provide a free world-class education for anyone, anywhere.”</li> <li>You have a total of 3+ years education, training, and experience in statistics and/or psychometrics, ideally in the K-12 assessment or education technology space. </li> <li>3+ years of statistical programming experience in languages such as Python, Go, or R.</li> <li>Experience working with databases and SQL. </li> <li>Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.</li> <li>Ability to balance the rigor of assessment with the possibility of innovation and new ways of doing things.</li> <li>A positive growth mindset that is curious and energized to innovate and create something new. </li> <li>A bias to action. </li> </ul>   PERKS AND BENEFITS We may be a non-profit, but we reward our talented team extremely well! The target salary range for this position is $98,018 - $122,522 USD / $132.4K - $165.5K CAN. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only.
