Market leaders like Akamai, Booking.com, Dropbox, and Zoom rely on Kentik to run, manage, and optimize their networks.</p></div><h3><strong>What we do</strong></h3> <div>Kentik is looking for a talented, passionate, and motivated Account Executive for APAC primarily focused on Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN with experience managing large territories for fast-growing network, security, and/or SaaS companies. This is a role where you will have the opportunity to build a sales team based on your success in the region. If you have a track record of overachieving quota, selling into Service Provider, Data Center Operators, Cloud providers/MSPs, and Enterprise accounts in this large geographic region, looking for an opportunity to become a part of an A-team of a fast growing SaaS leader in digital infrastructure fueling the growth of the world tomorrow. The ideal candidate is a hunter who can work in an extremely fast-paced, revenue-driven environment.</div> <h3><strong>What youll do</strong></h3> <div> <ul> <li>Develop plans and strategies and execute with supporting team to achieve or exceed the company’s revenue goals</li> <li>Expert understanding and handling of the complex technology stack across the network performance and control in service providers, the multi-cultural nature of global telecommunications business, and leverage all resources to achieve success</li> <li>Prospect for new business to rapidly expand given territory</li> <li>Leverage channels as a GTM strategy</li> <li>Create, build, and foster a sense of team across all functional roles in the Service Provider Revenue team</li> <li>Generate high quality new opportunities to deliver predictable business</li> <li>Diligently manage pipeline with disciplined accurate forecasting</li> <li>Work collaboratively marketing teams to build demand gen programs that generate net new pipeline for the region</li> <li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors and industry trends</li> <li>Travel is a requirement and you must be able to travel on short notice</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What youll bring</strong></h3> <h4><em><span>Studies have shown that some candidates tend to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to apply if you meet most of the criteria - even if you don’t match all of the qualifications, your skills and experience could be valuable in this role!</span></em></h4> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience selling to medium to large service providers as well as enterprises, with current connections within strategic accounts within the region</li> <li>Located in ASEAN region (Native Japan speaker strongly preferred)</li> <li>Excellent fluency in English</li> <li>Demonstrated prospecting skills for new logos - research ideal target and buying personas, outreach to those roles, leverage network for leads and referrals</li> <li>SaaS/high-tech experience is a must. Significant experience selling a SaaS product, via Channel Partners and Direct Sales. Network infrastructure, observability/monitoring, or cybersecurity sales experience preferred</li> <li>Experience navigating large, complex transactions that require building business value across multiple groups within a target account</li> <li>Highly organized and driven by success; can prioritize critical tasks/projects/accounts to exceed goals</li> <li>Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations</li> <li>Outstanding negotiating skills</li> <li>Large established network of relationships with target companies in defined target markets</li> <li>Prefer experience with MEDDPICC sales methodology</li> <li>Adept with modern revenue tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6Sense, Gong, Clearbit, etc.).
