Working in various technical domains, we produce new interview questions (known internally as content) on a weekly basis and are responsible for the writing, testing, publishing, and monitoring of all Karat content.</p> <h3><strong>What you will do</strong></h3> <p>As a Staff Content Development Engineer at Karat, you will develop high-quality technical interview questions to update Karat’s technical content library for modern AI-enabled engineering workflows across engineering role types (data science, software engineering, etc.). You will also serve as the most senior representative of Content Development in cross-functional content prioritization discussions, upholding Karat’s interview content standards through peer reviews, mentorship, and feedback integration.</p> <p><strong>We are looking to hire this position out of Bangalore, </strong><strong><span>India</span></strong><strong>. Working hours will predominantly be IST with required internal meetings that align with timezones in the U.S.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own continuous process and system improvements in Contents leveraging of AI solutions.</li> <li>Partner with Content and Product stakeholders in content prioritization exercises.</li> <li>Use your engineering knowledge to produce Karat’s most complex interview content, including the creation of extensive codebases and objective design exercises.</li> <li>Partner with our Content Designers in the development of new content formats which enable candidates to leverage generative AI during their interviews.</li> <li>Author new technical interview questions in a variety of subject domains, leveraging modern technology, including generative AI.</li> <li>Mentor Karats growing team of Content Development Engineers through peer reviews of content developments, ensuring all content is at a consistent standard.</li> <li>Integrate feedback and iterate on content based on performance data and feedback from the Content Corrections team.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>The experience you will bring</strong></h3> <p><strong>Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ of post-academic experience as a software engineer, with demonstrated ability to program in a common programming language</li> <li>Professional working experience using Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or another agentic AI solution for software development</li> <li>Experience working remotely with global teams </li> <li>Fluent, concise English communication skills (verbal and written)</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li> <li>Experience operating independently with high-output and strict deadlines</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred and/or a Plus:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience conducting technical interviews</li> <li>Project, product, or program management experience</li> <li>High-growth, quick change startup experience</li> </ul> <h4><strong>This position is only available to candidates residing in Bengaluru (formerly known as Bangalore), Hyderabad, or Pune.
