We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.</p><p></p><h2>About your role</h2><p>We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in React Native (iOS focus) and Python backend development to build and maintain our mobile applications and backend services. The role will primarily focus on developing and optimizing the iOS React Native app and backend APIs, with future involvement in supporting Android. You’ll collaborate closely with the team to deliver high-quality features and scalable solutions.<br /></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h2>Mobile Development (React Native – iOS &amp; Android)</h2><ul><li><p>Develop and maintain React Native iOS applications, integrating native modules when necessary.</p></li><li><p>Ensure app performance, reliability, and adherence to App Store guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Assist with expanding React Native support to Android.</p></li><li><p>Write clean, reusable components and maintain consistent UI/UX across platforms.<br /></p></li></ul><h2>Backend Development (Python)</h2><ul><li><p>Build and maintain APIs using FastAPI and GraphQL.</p></li><li><p>Implement background tasks and asynchronous processing with Celery.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with DevOps and other engineers to ensure system scalability and performance.<br /></p></li></ul><h2>Collaboration &amp; Best Practices</h2><ul><li><p>Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with Product and Design teams to deliver seamless user experiences.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and security.</p></li><li><p>Stay current with trends in React Native, iOS, Android, and Python backend technologies.<br /></p></li></ul><h2>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</p></li><li><p>5+ years of professional experience in software development, including:</p></li></ul><p>              2+ years working with React Native (iOS focus).</p><p>              2+ years of backend development experience with Python (FastAPI, GraphQL, Celery).</p><ul><li><p> Strong knowledge of React Native iOS app development and native module integration (Swift/Objective-C).</p></li><li><p>Experience with backend API design, asynchronous task management, and database integration.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with mobile app deployment processes and App Store guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of software testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</p><p></p></li></ul><h2><strong>Nice-to-Have</strong></h2><ul><li><p>Experience with React Native Android app development.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in TypeScript.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Jest, Detox, or Pytest.</p></li></ul>
