We explore new technologies from AI to cryptography, but sometimes older technologies like SAML or Active Directory with a twist in how things can be used in new unique ways. This team has led discovery of core technologies like JumpCloud Go®, Device Login®, Workflows®, JumpCloud AI® and other core JumpCloud tech.</div><div><br /></div><h3>What you will be doing:</h3><ul><li>Researching, prototyping and building Proofs of Concepts for new ideas which JC is looking to invest in.</li><li>Responsible for evaluating, prototyping and showcasing forward looking technology pieces which are of interest to JumpCloud customers. </li><li>As an active member of the JC Labs team, partnering with peers and other teams to build, lead, and inspire new initiatives.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and oversight to other teams in your areas of expertise.</li><li>Help the team and organization live by our core values: building connections, thinking big and getting 1% better every day.</li></ul><h3>What skills will help you succeed:</h3><ul><li><b>PhD program enrollment or completion is required</b>, demonstrating a foundation in advanced research methodologies and subject matter expertise.</li><li>Experience with cloud technologies and managed services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)</li><li>Hands-on experience working in a distributed systems environment</li><li>Strong leadership and collaboration skills to help technically drive and oversee complex projects on multiple teams from conception to completion</li><li>Ability to work with ambiguity and drive clarity while delivering incremental value through the entire development lifecycle, from conception to hand-off/delivery.</li><li>Proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment</li><li>Strong technical foundation in software engineering design principles</li><li>Experience working with geographically diverse engineering teams in today’s remote first work environment</li></ul><div>#LI-</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Where you’ll be working/Location:</b></div><div><span>JumpCloud is committed to being Remote First, meaning that you are able to work remotely within the country noted in the Job Description.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><b>You must be located in and authorized to work in the country noted in the job description to be considered for this role. </b></div><div><br /></div><div><span>Please note: There is an expectation that our engineers participate in on-call shifts.
