Powerful data platforms to help you make more informed decisions, from choosing the right aircraft to tracking your maintenance, inventory, and MRO projects.</div><div><b>Advisory Services.</b> Objective insights and independent technical advice from a global team of technical advisors and ASA-accredited appraisers for virtually any business jet, turboprop or helicopter.</div><div><b>Aviation Capital.</b> Customized asset-based finance solutions for business aviation.</div><div><br /></div><div><u>Position Summary:</u></div><div><span> </span></div><div>The Repair Buyer ensures that JSSI Parts &amp; Leasing has adequate stock to support customers and meet revenue objectives, as well as making sure that parts are repaired at the right cost to meet margin targets. </div><h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li><b>Delivery: </b></li><li>Review JPL stock to identify parts to send out for repair, based on quoting/sales history and repair availability. </li><li>Create and release repair orders </li><li>Track stock levels of critical parts and expedite repairs as required. </li><li>Track open repair orders and follow up for expedited delivery.</li><li><b>Sourcing: </b></li><li>Become an expert on repair sources for business aviation airframe, engine, and APU components by developing relationships within the industry and attending trade shows </li><li>Identify new repair sources to perform repairs at the desired turn-around time (TAT) and cost. </li><li>Send out requests for quote (RFQs) to potential sources. </li><li>Review quotes for cost savings opportunities. </li><li>Identify where JPL can procure piece parts at a lower price. </li><li>Negotiate individual and long-term repair pricing. </li><li><b>Warranty:</b></li><li>Confirm any return requests from JPL customers are within vendor warranty. </li><li>Send out failed units for warranty repairs and follow through for warranty adjudication. </li><li><b>Bill Backs:</b></li><li>Review all vendor quotes vs. the exchange pricing to customer to determine which items/costs need to be billed back per JPL’s exchange agreements. </li><li>Work with customer facing team to bill back appropriate costs in a timely manner. </li><li>Provide regular updates to internal sales and product line teams. </li><li>Establish supplier performance metrics for turn time and cost, monitor performance and evaluate suppliers on a regularly scheduled basis.</li><li>Issue and coordinate piece parts to repair orders. </li></ul><h3>Desired Credentials:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or related experience preferred</li><li>Experience managing Aviation repair vendors. </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, management, and vendors.</li><li>Organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.</li></ul><div><span>At JSSI, we are committed to rewarding our team members with competitive and comprehensive compensation packages that reflect their contributions and talent. </span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $60,000 to $70,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
