This individual will play a key role in shaping the architecture, ensuring the product is built with scalability, security, and performance in mind, and building a team of engineers to support the platform into the future. The role bridges <b>hands-on development </b>with <b>strategic technical leadership.</b></div><h3>Duties and Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li><b>Architecture &amp; Technical Strategy</b></li><li>Define and own the overall system architecture for the new Traxxall platform.</li><li>Evaluate and select modern frameworks, languages, and cloud infrastructure to support scalability, performance, and security.</li><li>Ensure best practices in design patterns, coding standards, and system integrations.</li><li><b>Development Leadership</b></li><li>Lead by example with hands-on coding and design contributions.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to developers across backend, frontend, mobile, and integrations.</li><li>Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.</li><li><b>Collaboration &amp; Communication</b></li><li>Partner with Product leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.</li><li>Work closely with QA, analysts, and support teams to ensure seamless product delivery and ongoing reliability.</li><li>Contribute to roadmap planning with realistic technical estimates and risk assessments.</li><li><b>Team Growth &amp; Mentorship</b></li><li>Recruit and scale a strong development team over time.</li><li>Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.</li><li><b>Support &amp; Reliability</b></li><li>Oversee production support and ensure high availability for mission-critical aviation systems.</li><li>Proactively identify and resolve performance, security, and scalability issues.</li></ul><h3>Desired Credentials:</h3><ul><li>10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 in a lead or architect role.</li><li>Deep expertise in <b>modern web stacks</b> (e.g., .NET / C#, React, MS SQL, or equivalent).</li><li>Demonstrated experience in <b>AI/ML technologies</b> (such as natural language processing, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation) and in building tools that improve both <b>internal efficiency </b>and <b>customer workflows.</b></li><li>Strong understanding of <b>cloud platforms</b> (Azure or AWS), microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).</li><li>Proven experience designing enterprise SaaS systems with high reliability and security requirements.</li><li>Solid grasp of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks.</li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.</li><li>Aviation industry or regulated SaaS experience a plus, but not required.</li></ul><div><span>At JSSI, we are committed to rewarding our team members with competitive and comprehensive compensation packages that reflect their contributions and talent. </span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $205,000 to $220,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
