<div>The Jed Foundation (JED) is seeking a skilled and experienced Editorial Director and Content Strategist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Editorial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for envisioning, overseeing, managing, and creating content to support JED’s work in high schools, districts, colleges and universities, and other youth-serving partners. We are looking for someone who begins with the big picture, but follows through in all details to ensure that the final product meets the goals and mission of JED. The ideal candidate will be someone with extensive experience in producing exemplary, accessible content for a range of audiences, especially educators and school mental health professionals, experience managing freelance writers and editors, and a collaborative approach to ensuring their team is creating the best possible work.</div> <h2> Key Responsibilities </h2> <ul><li>Work collaboratively with the School Programs and Consulting team to determine content needs and brainstorm solutions and final products. </li><li>Analyze current content and identify missed opportunities, areas for improvement, and innovative methods of delivery so that the end result is truly useful to educators, students, and youth. </li><li>Oversee the creation and publication of content with involvement at all stages to ensure quality. </li><li>Oversee and update a detailed calendar and tracking system for content, coordinating across teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment with campaigns, initiatives, and organizational priorities.  </li><li>Document development and approval workflows for various projects and support their roll out across the organization. </li><li>Support the Marketing team in the creation of materials aimed at recruiting new school partners, such as newsletters, one-pagers, and press releases.</li><li>Manage relationships with external and internal partners, including freelance writers, subject matter experts, designers, marketing managers, and others, to produce high-quality content that supports our mission.</li><li>Ensure content adheres to best practices, and meets accessibility and usability standards. </li><li>Work collaboratively across teams to create and edit program materials delivered through workshops and asynchronous courses.</li><li>Partner with Digital Product team to inform and edit UX content that is used throughout JED’s digital experiences, including an online platform for program participants</li><li>Work closely with subject-matter experts to integrate research and feedback during a content review process</li><li>Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across digital content, increasing discoverability, engagement, and alignment with audience behavior while maintaining editorial integrity.</li></ul><div><br /></div> <h2> Job Benefits </h2>
