<p>IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a full-time Product and Content Marketing Lead to join our fun and growing team. In this role, you will play an essential role in the marketing of our flagship product, IXL, helping to lead the GTM planning process for both new products/features and updates and working to ensure internal and external product marketing communications are executed smoothly. You will create a broad range of product marketing materials to support our customer-facing teams and also develop content marketing pieces to engage with our key audiences: educators, parents, and students. <span>#LI-GW1</span></p> <p>We’re looking for someone who is a strong writer and communicator, creative, organized, proactive, and passionate about IXL’s mission to impact education.</p> <p>This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.</p> <h4>WHAT YOULL BE DOING</h4> <ul> <li>Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategy for new releases and updates</li> <li>Project-manage GTM process for many product launches</li> <li>Write and develop marketing content, including but not limited to: messaging and positioning documents, emails, web copy, print collateral, blog posts, case studies, and more</li> <li>Develop and drive campaigns to increase awareness and use of the product’s features by existing customers</li> <li>Collaborate with the Marketing team to devise creative ways to reach potential customers and to deepen our engagement with existing users</li> <li>Work with colleagues from various teams, including product managers and graphic designers, to coordinate and implement projects from start to finish</li> <li>Work to ensure seamless communication flows between Product and Marketing, and between Marketing and customer-facing teams</li> <li>Assist with product/messaging training for Sales/customer-facing teams</li> <li>Manage 3 content marketing associates</li> </ul> <h4>WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR</h4> <ul> <li>BA/BS degree and 6-9 years of solid marketing experience in a professional environment</li> <li>1+ years of people management experience</li> <li>Customer focus: You have deep empathy for your customers and can deftly balance business outcomes with customer outcomes</li> <li>Verbal communication: You communicate effectively with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, and ask strategic questions to determine whats needed</li> <li>Written communication: You are an exceptional writer and editor who knows how to clearly communicate a message and make every word count. You can switch easily from writing messaging about a new product feature, to crafting an impactful marketing email, to developing a lighthearted blog post</li> <li>Interpersonal skills: You’re a team player, have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels</li> <li>You get things done: You’re a self starter, detail- and deadline-oriented, organized, resourceful, and adaptable. You have proven skills managing cross-functional projects from start to finish</li> <li>Strategic thinking: You consider an idea from all angles, ask smart questions of your colleagues and collaborators, and make thoughtful decisions that align with the company’s needs, mission, and resources</li> <li>A strong operator: You quickly identify opportunities for efficiencies and can create and evolve workflows that’ll help you collaborate effectively across teams while bringing the IXL brand to life</li> <li>You have knowledge of, or an interest in, education/edtech and can learn about the industry quickly  </li> <li>Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides</li> <li>Experience with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop is a plus</li> </ul> <p><span><em>Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 to $150,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.
