We aim to create a consistent and cohesive brand journey from start to finish, and a more efficient experience for our clients.About the RoleWe are seeking an Associate Digital Director with proven experience in pharmaceutical advertising to drive the development of innovative, compliant, and scalable digital solutions. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring expertise across GitHub, Microsoft Azure, WordPress, and pharma-regulated digital ecosystems.As a senior leader within the Technology team, you will collaborate closely with account, strategy, creative, and regulatory colleagues to ensure that all digital experiences are technically sound, user-focused, and compliant with industry standards.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Technology Leadership &amp; Delivery<ul><li>Lead the planning, development, and deployment of digital platforms, tools, and experiences for healthcare and pharma clients.</li><li>Provide technical oversight for web, mobile, CRM, and emerging technology solutions.</li><li>Translate high-level technology strategies into clear project roadmaps and execution plans.</li></ul></li><li>GitHub &amp; Development Management<ul><li>Oversee GitHub repository management, branching strategies, and version control best practices.</li><li>Establish code standards, review pull requests, and enforce robust QA processes.</li><li>Collaborate with developers to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve workflow efficiency.</li></ul></li><li>Azure Cloud Expertise<ul><li>Architect, implement, and optimize solutions on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Storage, Identity, Security).</li><li>Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and industry standards (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX).</li><li>Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of Azure resources.</li></ul></li><li>WordPress Platform Oversight<ul><li>Lead development and maintenance of WordPress-based sites for HCP and patient engagement.</li><li>Ensure builds follow pharma compliance standards, accessibility guidelines, and MLR-friendly content management.</li><li>Manage plugin selection, updates, and security hardening for WordPress environments.</li></ul></li><li>Pharma Agency Expertise<ul><li>Navigate medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes and compliance requirements unique to pharma marketing.</li><li>Build solutions that adhere to industry standards, including Veeva, IQVIA integrations, and client data-handling rules.</li><li>Partner with account and creative teams to ensure technology enables compliant engagement.</li></ul></li><li>Team &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Manage and mentor developers, engineers, and external vendor partners.</li><li>Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and accountability.</li><li>Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client expectations.  </li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus).</li><li>7+ years of experience in digital technology roles, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical advertising agency.</li><li>Proven expertise in GitHub repository management, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Azure cloud solutions (App Services, Blob Storage, Identity, Security).</li><li>Familiarity with pharma industry platforms and workflows (Veeva, CRM systems, analytics platforms).</li><li>Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.</li></ul>Preferred Experience<ul><li>Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) in addition to Azure.</li><li>Experience with data analytics, AI/ML, or automation in a pharma context.</li><li>Understanding of integration between CRM, marketing automation, and data pipelines.</li></ul>Please Note: You must reside in the country where this position is posted in order to be eligible for this remote role.IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
