We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk III. As an Accounts Payable Clerk III, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems.
In this role, you will help manage IonQ’s growing accounts payable operations by processing high volumes of invoices across multiple subsidiaries accurately and efficiently. Your primary focus will be supporting a faster month and quarter-end AP close through timely data entry and cross-functional collaboration.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced finance environment, with potential for growth, flexibility, and exceptional team support. The workload is fast-growing and detail-heavy, requiring strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for accuracy. As processes evolve, adaptability will be key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the AP inbox by organizing incoming invoices and distributing documents to the correct folders
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries
- Process invoices with a high level of accuracy
- Code corporate credit card transactions and collect/file corresponding receipts
- Set up and maintain vendor records in NetSuite
- Follow up with budget managers to ensure timely invoice approvals
- Support ad hoc tasks and projects as needed

- Experience with an ERP system like NetSuite (or similar)
Location: This role can work onsite or hybrid from our College Park, MD office. We are open to a fully remote option near College Park for the right candidate.

The approximate base salary range for this position is $50,255 - $60,683. The total compensation package includes base, bonus, and equity.
Compensation will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. Beyond base salary, total compensation includes a variable bonus and equity component and a range of benefit options found on our career site at ionq.co/jobs. IonQs HQ is located in College Park, Maryland, a quick 15-minute metro from Washington DC. We are actively building out our recently opened manufacturing and production facility in Bothell, WA (near Seattle). Depending on the position, you may be required to be near one of our offices in College Park, Seattle, or Toronto.
