As a key contributor to our team, you will play a pivotal role in the measurement and analysis of OEM in-chassis notebook products at both the silicon/SoC and platform levels across Intel and competitor platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving competitive analysis and enhancing Intel platforms. Leveraging your technical acumen, you will provide valuable insights that influence OEM customers, internal marketing and engineering teams, and support Intel product launches. This position is based in Santa Clara, CA, and requires on-site presence every day (no remote or hybrid options available).
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive measurement, analysis, and debugging of workloads on OEM notebook/laptop systems for internal evaluation and external communication.
Perform detailed analysis of SoC/CPU and platform power on a rail-by-rail basis, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
Understand and evaluate power and performance workload behaviors, contributing to optimization efforts for future platforms.
Set up and calibrate instrumented OEM systems to accurately measure power and performance on a rail-by-rail basis.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and architects to identify and address gaps between Intel silicon/SoC data and Intel OEM implementations.
Partner with internal engineering teams to align on competitive analysis of power and performance, supporting competitive projections.
Guide, educate, and influence internal engineering, field account, and marketing teams on the power and performance positioning of Intel products.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any STEM related degree plus 2+ years of related work experience, or
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any STEM related degree plus 1+ years of related work experience
Related work experience should include 1 or more of following:
Power analysis
Performance analysis
Post-silicon engineering
PC power delivery design
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of standard benchmarks and ability to analyze power and performance
Familiarity with industry benchmarks is a plus (ie SPEC, Speedometer, Cinebench, Geekbench, Procyon, MobileMark, 3DMark, etc)
Understanding of power measurement/instrumentation methodologies and concepts. Actual device/system instrumentation experience is a plus. Device soldering capability is a plus.
Strong knowledge of CPU micro-architecture (knowledge of x86 CPU arch added plus)
Experience developing customized content for a technical audience a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$115,290.00-$162,760.00Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
