The individual is responsible for contributions to our Android Mobile Applications projects for the company and will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering medical grade mobile applications and SDKs primarily using Java and Kotlin.  This role involves leading small teams of developers in the definition and design of new and complex features, taking ownership and delivering them on time with quality and the support from cross functional teams.</span></span></p><p><span> </span></p><h1><span><span>Responsibilities</span></span></h1><ul><li><span>Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java, Kotlin, and KMM.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate closely with the multiple technology and cross-functional groups within and outside the organization to lead the definition, design, and deployment of new features, capabilities and software releases.</span></li><li><span>Able to translate customer and market needs to efficient and secure mobile solutions.</span></li><li><span>Design and build out the next generation mobile application cloud-based platform that can support future patient / device centric products and applications.</span></li><li><span>Effectively plan, organize and communicate complex design proposal to stakeholders and lead team in translating design review feedback to design changes. Scope work, break down into modules, and estimate efforts working closely with Program management.</span></li><li><span>Advanced SW Engineer who leads work and executes themselves and through others with a broad sphere of influence.</span></li><li><span>Able to solve the most complex technical issues.  Provides guidance to other software engineers on coding strategy and implementation approaches and ensures adherence to architectural direction.</span></li><li><span>Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our mobile application solutions remain current and competitive. </span></li><li><span>Perform other duties as required.</span></li></ul><h1><span><span>Education and Experience:</span></span></h1><h1><span><span>Minimum Requirements:</span></span></h1><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent education plus experience.</span></li><li><span>7+ yrs Native Android development; Proven expertise in Android development using Java and/or Kotlin.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated proficiency in developing solutions and platforms that leverage wireless communications and Mobile Application technologies.  Demonstrated expertise in system architecture design.</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. </span></li><li><span>Demonstrated work experience with Web services, Cloud and API technologies.</span></li><li><span>Ability to quickly grasp &amp; learn new technologies and develop POC/prototypes.</span></li><li><span>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; drive and own technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications.</span></li></ul><h1><span><span>Preferred Skills and Competencies:</span></span></h1><ul><li><span>Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks. </span></li><li><span>Excellent communications skills and extensive experience working with technical teams and management.</span></li><li><span>Expertise with Agile software development preferred.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated experience in successfully launching products in FCC &amp; FDA regulated industries preferred</span></li><li><span>Mobile apps or Cloud apps software development tools</span></li></ul><h1><span><span>Additional Information</span></span></h1><ul><li><span>Travel is estimated at 10% but will flex depending on business need, you are expected to travel to our offices once in a quarter for Program Increment planning and execution.</span></li></ul><p></p></div><p>NOTE: This position is eligible for 100% remote working arrangements (may work from home/virtually 100%; may also work hybrid on-site/virtual as desired). #LI-Remote   </p><p></p><p>Additional Information:</p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,050.00 - $244,575.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
