This team member will serve as an individual contributor on the R&amp;D team, focused on the design, development, and test of the electronics in low power RF-controlled wearable medical devices for infusion pump systems. Execution to schedule with high quality deliverables is key to success.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provides technical leadership in the design and development of high-volume, low-power embedded electronics and electromechanical systems</li><li>Frequently contributes to the development of new theories, methods, and intellectual property; employs extensive expertise as a generalist or specialist</li><li>Develops and reviews complex schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with design standards</li><li>Perform and oversee advanced testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, resolving EMI/EMC issues</li><li>Lead the implementation of design controls, including risk management (DFMEA), requirements, and test plans</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are optimized for high-volume production</li><li>Lead and mentor junior engineers in best practices including design for manufacture and design for test of a high-volume product</li><li>Contributes to deploying and improving Insulets application of relevant engineering tools</li><li>Creates and meets schedules for complex projects with cross-functional dependencies</li><li>Defines requirements for electronic systems, subsystems and components</li><li>Performs other duties as required</li></ul> Required Skills and Competencies:<ul><li>Advanced circuit analysis capabilities including in-depth knowledge in several specialized areas (Analog, Digital, RF, etc) including in-depth simulation (Monte-Carlo, etc)</li><li>Experience level Analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit analysis Strong foundation in engineering principals and problem solving</li><li>Strong foundation in engineering principals and problem solving</li><li>System-level design for electronics (EMC, ESD, power, RF, software necessities)</li><li>Advanced knowledge of principles of electronics (development of IP)</li><li>Methodical, risk-based approach for running engineering experiments in a lab environments</li><li>Proficiency in CAD software tools schematics and layout (OrCAD, or Altium preferred)</li><li>Proficiency developing test protocols and test report generation</li><li>Experience in the development of new theories, methods, and intellectual property</li><li>Advanced knowledge of test equipment specification (specialized probing techniques, capabilities, understanding of esoteric parameters)</li><li>Experience and knowledge on how to run engineering experiments in a lab environment</li><li>Experience in Design for manufacturability / testability</li><li>Experience  with Test equipment operation (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal Generators)</li><li>Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</li><li> Advanced knowledge of other relevant engineering tools (MathCAD, Matlab, LabView)</li><li>Expertise in low-power embedded systems and electromechanical components Bluetooth Low Energy design and test techniques preferred</li><li>Experience with test protocol and report development, including knowledge of how to run engineering experiments in a lab environment</li><li>Highly ethical, responsible, and independent;
