We are seeking a passionate researcher to advance the automated insulin delivery (AID) algorithm for next generation AID system which will greatly simplify patient-pump interactions while achieving better glycemic outcomes. This individual contributor will join the existing algorithm R&amp;D team and be a technical leader primarily responsible for researching and developing robust glucose control algorithms that require little to no user intervention while meeting safe and effective treatment goals.</span><br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Design and assess new features and safety mitigations for AID algorithm and overall product</li><li>Analyze clinical device data for algorithm development with proper statistic tools</li><li>Execute research plans, simulations and experiments to capture the clinical implications of new system features and safety mitigations of the AID system</li><li>Effectively demonstrate the value and clinical benefits of new features and safety mitigations developed by the algorithm team to key stakeholders</li><li>Capture key innovations that arise as part of new feature and safety analyses into IP portfolios</li><li>Collaborate effectively with multiple cross-functional groups within and outside the organization</li><li>Carry out any additional duties as required related to AID algorithm and product feature level development to achieve critical product development timelines<br /> </li></ul><p><b>Education And Experience</b></p><p></p><ul><li>B.S. or Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field and 5+ years experience</li><li>Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field preferred, with 2 or more year’s academic or industrial research experience in an area related to control and signal processing, or data science</li><li>Exceptional competence writing software to implement and evaluate research ideas. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
