We are looking for a strategic and visionary Principal User Researcher to lead and elevate our digital customer experience (CX) research practice. In this high-impact role, you will define and drive the UX research strategy across digital platforms, ensuring that the voices of patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers are deeply embedded in our product and service design.
You will lead mixed-method research initiatives, mentor other researchers, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to influence product direction and innovation. This role is ideal for a seasoned researcher who thrives at the intersection of strategy, empathy, and action—and who is ready to grow into a broader leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define the UX research vision and roadmap for digital customer experiences.
- Align research priorities with business goals and product strategies.
- Partner with UX, Product, Marketing, and Engineering leaders to embed research into the product development lifecycle.
Research Execution & Excellence
- Design and lead complex, mixed-method research studies (e.g., discovery, usability, journey mapping, concept testing).
- Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, balancing rigor with agility.
- Drive updates to Qualtrics CX surveys and dashboards, and communicate findings to leadership.
Communication & Influence
- Translate research findings into compelling narratives and visual frameworks that drive decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and ideation sessions to align teams around user needs.
- Advocate for customer-centricity at all levels of the organization.
Mentorship & Team Development
- Mentor and guide UX researchers, providing feedback on study design, execution, and deliverables.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence within the research team.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and scaling the research function.
Center of Excellence & Advocacy
- Promote best practices in UX research across the organization.
- Collaborate with Human Factors, Content Strategy, Instructional Design, and UX Design to elevate the overall user experience.
- Continuously evolve research methods, tools, and processes to meet the needs of a growing global organization.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in UX research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating strategic impact.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Experimental Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Strong experience with tools such as Qualtrics, Figma, Miro, JIRA, and data visualization platforms.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive product strategy through research.
Preferred
- Experience in med tech, healthcare, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with diabetes care and medical device development processes.
- Experience working in agile environments and with digital CX or IT teams.
- Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead other researchers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $167,550.00 - $251,325.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
