This critical leadership role encompasses traditional IT security, robust data security, and product-focused incident management. The Head of Trust &amp; Security is instrumental in building and maintaining a foundation of trust with our clients, ensuring the reliability and integrity of our AI products and services, and proactively managing security risks across our organization. This role demands a broad, proactive, and customer-centric approach to security, aligning immediately with InstaDeeps core business in AI and attracting candidates with relevant experience in securing ML models and data pipelines.</div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Develop and implement a holistic IT security strategy that encompasses all aspects of cybersecurity, data protection, and incident management.</li><li>Oversee the protection of all internal and client data, ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).</li><li>Lead and manage the incident response program, from detection and analysis to containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.</li><li>Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.</li><li>Manage a team of security professionals, including Security Engineers, IT Security Compliance Officers, Product Security Engineers, Soc/Siem Engineers, and Incident Managers.</li><li>Implement and maintain security controls for ML models and data pipelines.</li><li>Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security best practices into the entire software development lifecycle.</li><li>Stay abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices, particularly within the AI and machine learning landscape.</li><li>Communicate security posture, risks, and incidents to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.</li><li>Foster a culture of security awareness and responsibility across the company.</li></ul><h3>Education:</h3><ul><li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.</li></ul><h3>Experience:</h3><ul><li>10+ years of experience in IT security, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.</li><li>Proven experience in developing and implementing IT security strategies and frameworks.</li><li>Strong background in security architecture, risk management, incident response, and compliance.</li><li>Experience managing and mentoring a team of security professionals.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in securing AI/ML models and data pipelines is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience working in a fast-paced tech, SaaS, or product-led company environment.</li></ul><h3>Technical skills:</h3><ul><li>Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).</li><li>Proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.</li><li>Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).</li><li>Deep understanding of network security, application security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data security principles.</li><li>Experience with risk management methodologies and tools.</li></ul><h3>Leadership &amp; Soft skills:</h3><ul><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Ability to influence and drive change across an organization.</li><li>Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>High level of integrity and ethical conduct.</li></ul><h3>Preferred skills:</h3><ul><li>Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud security certifications.</li><li>Experience with DevSecOps methodologies.</li><li>Knowledge of ethical hacking and penetration testing.</li><li>Experience in an AI/Machine Learning environment.</li><li>Experience with security automation and orchestration.</li><li>Familiarity with security in a global, distributed organization.</li></ul><div>Our commitment to our people</div><div>We empower individuals to celebrate their uniqueness here at InstaDeep.
