In this newly created role, you will focus on supporting retailer ads development and expansion. You’ll empower retailers through the launch of managed service marketing plans that bring their brands to life on Instacart and their White Label sites. This role requires a deep understanding of retailer and advertising network specific strategies to quarterback new program launches and drive growth for brands utilizing new and existing ads products. You will also be instrumental in scaling our team to efficiently deliver across retailers of all sizes - major national retailers to regional players. The Commercial Marketing team is made of consumer and business-facing marketers who work to drive revenue and sales by educating, exciting, and accelerating the business for brands and retailers.</p> <p><strong>About the Job </strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the marketing strategy building the foundations of Retailer Ads products and drive the cross-functional group building these products for retailers</li> <li>Build retailer and ads industry relationships as a leading expert in omni-channel marketing strategies for ecommerce delivery platforms</li> <li>Own the Ads marketing strategy by being the voice of the retailer for internal product prioritization and channel development, partnering closely with Product Marketing</li> <li>Plan and coordinate Commercial, Partnerships, and Marketing teams to drive adoption of new marketing products, like Meta Off Platform</li> <li>Enable retailers to market their Marketplace and White Label storefronts alike through custom managed service and scalable ads self-serve products </li> <li>Develop Joint Annual Marketing Plans in partnership with our monetizable retailers - co-create the strategy, channel plans, sometimes also leading the trafficking, measurement, and optimization </li> <li>Own integration and execution strategies enabling custom marketing plans across OTT, OLV, Streaming Audio, CRM, Direct Mail, SEM, Google PLA, Paid Social, Influencer, and others</li> <li>Be the Retailer Advertising subject matter expert to communicate internally what retailers want and externally the value prop for retailers</li> <li>Partner with Product Marketing to create case studies and supporting sales materials for retailers to educate and enable merchandising and marketing levers to bring their offline customers online driving bigger baskets and higher frequency</li> <li>Drive the strategy around scalable marketing levers to extend marketing growth from custom white glove managed service to adoption of self-serve ads executions</li> <li>Leverage AI to build strategies efficiently and customize assets across retailers at scale</li> <li>Act as the ads advisor across Retailer Marketing team jumping in to external and internal conversations to guide development of ads pitches and planning</li> <li>Own ongoing executive updates and reporting on Retailer Ads Marketing workstream progress to goal, key initiatives, state of the union, and marketing campaign updates</li> <li>Collaborate with Marketing Analytics and Data Science to ensure the appropriate measurement methodologies and dashboards are in place for both working team, internal and external, and executive updates</li> <li>Scale marketing growth with additional resourcing by implementing the cost-to-serve model hiring ongoing team members to support ads marketing execution</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or related field</li> <li>10+ years of experience in growth or channel marketing in the Retail or technology industry</li> <li>Experience working on ad networks and products specifically enabling retailers</li> <li>Experience working on both B2B and B2C products and marketing</li> <li>Deep understanding of the advertising/marketing ecosystem, with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into customer value propositions.</li> <li>Proven success working with external partners or retailers</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing content and effectively articulate product messaging.</li> <li>Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies and playbooks.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.</li> <li>Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>You have executive presence, understand marketing concepts, and can articulate them to a broad set of audiences</li> <li>You enjoy working with external audiences and have strong communication skill</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Preferred qualification: MBA preferred</li> </ul> <p>#LI-REMOTE</p><div><div><div><p><span>Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work.
