Your work will be pivotal in transforming fulfillment experiences and expanding the digital presence for our retail partners.</p> <p><strong><em>About the Team </em></strong></p> <p>You will be joining the Enterprise Fulfillment organization at Instacart, leading the team in charge of our enterprise fulfillment experiences and supporting our mission of building the technology platform required to support the fulfillment needs of the world’s largest retailers</p> <p>As the leader of this team, you will be helping partners build and scale out their on-the-ground fulfillment operations using Instacart’s fulfillment technology. This includes enterprise-grade products like the Picking and Running App, which supports retailers in managing their in-store pickup operations with their own staff.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the Job </strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with Business Development, Product and Design teams to define the tech vision and craft future products for retailers.</li> <li>Serve as an authority in building and managing the lifecycle of both backend and mobile applications.</li> <li>Partner with Retailers, Product, and Professional Services teams to launch new retailer integrations.</li> <li>Oversee production services, ensuring an exemplary enterprise-grade experience for retailers.</li> <li>Lead the growth and development of the engineering team.</li> <li>Implement and drive team processes to maintain efficiency and productivity.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p><strong><em>Minimum Qualifications</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven track record as a hands-on technical leader.</li> <li>2+ years of experience managing teams of 8+ software engineers.</li> <li>Strong background in backend development; experience with both backend and mobile is advantageous.</li> <li>Ability to craft and execute strategic engineering roadmaps that align with business objectives.</li> <li>Highly structured and proactive communication capabilities.</li> <li>Experience in staffing, mentoring, and leading engineering teams to success.</li> <li>Experience working with product managers, EM peers, and senior ICs.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective cross-functional leadership.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Preferred Qualifications</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in driving 0-1 innovation and ideas.</li> <li>Experience building enterprise-grade software systems.</li> <li>Experience working face-to-face with end customers.</li> <li>Experience in enhancing developer velocity using AI technologies.</li> </ul><div><div><div><p><span>Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work.
