<div>Impulse Space is seeking a hands-on <strong>Infrastructure Administrator</strong> to serve as the primary on-site IT lead at one of our locations. This hybrid role blends L1 through L3 technical support with hands-on infrastructure administration, requiring both excellent customer service and strong systems expertise.<br /><br /></div><div>You will be the first and often only person responding to IT needs at the site, from helping users reset passwords to managing cloud infrastructure, network gear, and compliance-aligned systems. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, mission-driven aerospace environment.<br /><br /></div> <h2> Responsibilities </h2> <ul><li>On-Site Support and IT Operations<br /><br /><ul><li>Serve as the first line of defense for all local IT issues, providing L1 to L3 support across Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints</li><li>Deliver exceptional in-person support for day-to-day issues, including hardware, software, printing, and connectivity</li><li>Provide white-glove support to executives and key stakeholders</li><li>Handle new hire onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, account provisioning, and access configuration</li><li>Maintain and curate documentation and internal knowledge base articles</li></ul></li><li>Infrastructure and Systems<br /><br /><ul><li>Deploy, configure, and maintain on-prem and cloud infrastructure (VMware, Azure, AWS)</li><li>Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, VPNs, and endpoint performance</li><li>Support integration and automation across IT systems, apps, and platforms</li><li>Own and manage backup systems and disaster recovery plans</li><li>Support privileged access management and contribute to zero-trust architecture enforcement</li></ul></li><li>Security and Compliance Support<br /><br /><ul><li>Operate IT systems in alignment with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and ITAR practices</li><li>Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., PRTG, Nagios)</li><li>Coordinate with IT leadership and Security on incident response, endpoint security, and logging</li><li>Assist with audit prep, hardware inventory, and vendor coordination</li></ul></li></ul><div><br /></div> <h2> Preferred Skills and Experience </h2> <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field</li><li>Experience supporting classified or regulated environments (CMMC, ITAR, NIST 800-171)</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing local IT infrastructure in a solo capacity or at a remote site</li><li>Experience with facilities build-outs, cable or fiber installations, and lab infrastructure support</li><li>Demonstrated experience of zero trust, endpoint hardening, and identity access controls</li></ul><div><strong>Additional Information:</strong><br /><br />Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
