In this client-facing role, you will leverage your deep understanding of banking regulations, policies, and governance to help clients develop an integrated and sustainable internal audit approach that encompasses a holistic view of strategy, people, process, and technology.<h3></h3>Key Responsibilities:As a Manager in the Financial Institutions Internal Audit discipline, you will be required to work and support the internal audit team in the market through business development, proposal development, project planning, internal audit project execution, and issue validation. You will deliver the following capabilities to clients:<ul><li>Assisting with proposal, budget, and timeline development.</li><li>Delivering internal audit risk assessment and internal audit planning by conducting research on client background and risks, leading internal audit risk assessment, developing internal audit plan, preparing for kick off meeting with client and other necessary planning activities.</li><li>Executing an internal audit plan including conducting interviews with senior management, overseeing day-to-day engagement team, providing guidance to junior team members during fieldwork, reviewing work papers prepared by junior team members, providing feedback, and preparing for kickoff and exit meetings with client.</li><li>Managing end-to-end internal audit engagement economics, including monitoring of the scope, engagement progress, budget vs. actual, risks and issues, and billing.</li><li>Preparing draft reports and wrapping up internal audit work</li><li>Performing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 assessment procedures in accordance with the client’s or Huron’s methodology.</li><li>Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel to identify further work opportunities.</li><li>Building strong internal relationships across other service lines.</li><li>Contributing to the development of thought leadership materials</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience with internal audit and SOX 404 compliance in a big public accounting and consulting firm, regulatory environment or the banking sector.</li><li>Strong knowledge of IIA Standards, auditing standards and procedures, relevant laws, rules, and regulations with the Financial Services industry</li><li>Broad abilities in process and controls, risk assessment</li><li>Extensive experience in developing and implementing internal audit programs including but not limited to financial, operational, technology, and compliance audits</li><li>Proven track record in managing co-sourcing and outsourcing engagements and leveraging advanced technology and AI tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Enterprise ChatGPT, copilot, etc.</li><li>Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Flexible, multitasking and ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines.</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as needed </li><li>Industry related certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CAMS)</li></ul>Travel and Location: Willingness to travel nationwide (up to 25%) is required. Candidates must be based in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, or CT) and able to work from the Huron NYC office or on-site with NYC-based clients up to three days per week.The estimated base salary range for this job is $165,000 - $215,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $189,750 - $268,750. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
