The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all systems, analytics, and performance tracking functions that support the enterprise revenue cycle. This role is responsible for overseeing core revenue cycle systems and all related feeder systems and interfaces. The Director leads the evaluation, selection, and project management of new technology implementations that drive automation, centralize processes, and improve operational efficiency. Serving as the primary liaison between the revenue cycle and Information & Technology, this role ensures seamless integration, data integrity, and system performance across all platforms that support billing, reimbursement, and revenue optimization. The Director also manages the development and delivery of tools and dashboards that provide leaders at all levels with insight into revenue cycle performance, enabling timely, data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
• Lead and manage all revenue cycle systems and interfaces, including Invision, SSI, Experian, IDX, RCPA, and all associated feeder systems. Ensure their ongoing performance, integration, and optimization to support efficient and compliant billing and reimbursement operations.
• Direct the selection, evaluation, implementation, and upgrade of revenue cycle systems, serving as the business lead and key liaison with Information & Technology. Partner across departments to ensure alignment with strategic goals, technology adoption, and measurable return on investment.
• Oversee the Business Systems team, ensuring appropriate staffing, cost control, and maximum system efficiency to support revenue cycle performance and cash flow optimization.
• Manage the loading and maintenance of payer contracts within the Contract Management System, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates. Monitor reimbursement data to detect variances between expected and actual payments, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with operational and revenue cycle leaders to resolve issues.
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide performance dashboards and custom reporting tools, enabling key stakeholders to monitor relevant metrics, detect trends, and take timely action.
• Track and analyze financial and operational performance across the revenue cycle, synthesizing complex data to generate actionable insights. Provide routine and ad hoc reporting and strategic recommendations to revenue cycle leaders to drive improvements and identify revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Continuously monitor and interpret revenue cycle data to detect error patterns and system inefficiencies. Collaborate with operational leaders to define performance improvement initiatives, using advanced analytical tools and automation to prioritize areas of focus.
• Lead large-scale revenue cycle initiatives spanning operations and technology, assigning and overseeing project managers, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely execution in partnership with IT, Revenue Integrity, and clinical departments.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures that guide revenue systems operations, reporting protocols, and data governance. Ensure practices are compliant with regulations and support continuous improvement across the enterprise.
• Manage a team of managers, system administrators, analysts, and project staff responsible for maintaining revenue cycle technology, executing initiatives, and delivering reporting and analytics in coordination with Information & Technology.
• Oversee the generation and distribution of recurring and ad hoc revenue cycle performance reports, including month-end summaries and operational dashboards that support financial transparency and operational accountability across departments.


CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in revenue cycle operations, with deep knowledge of revenue systems, reimbursement processes, payer contracts, and healthcare billing regulations
• Advanced technical expertise in healthcare revenue systems and proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and dashboard development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead system implementations and upgrades, including vendor evaluation, budgeting, ROI analysis, and cross-departmental coordination.
• Expertise in contract management and variance analysis, including contract loading, payment reconciliation, and collaboration with operational leaders to address discrepancies.
• Proven success in developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and executive dashboards to track and improve revenue cycle performance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience managing cross-functional teams of analysts, system administrators, and project managers.

• Strong background in architecting innovative solutions through vendor partnerships or internal development
• Experience in management services or partnering with management services firms.
• Current permanent U.S. Work Authorization required

The estimated salary range for this job is $130,000 - $170,000.  The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes and required travel.  This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy and Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
