The Financial Underwriting Representative 3 computes rates for both renewing and prospective moderate to complex group accounts. The Financial Underwriting Representative 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.The Financial Underwriting Support Representative 3 plays a crucial role in assisting the underwriting team by providing essential support in the evaluation and processing of renewal and new business work on a group level basis. This position focuses on Dental, Vision, Life and Disability products. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and communicate with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth underwriting process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Evaluates renewal discretion requests from our sales and broker partners.
· Reviews life over guaranteed issue applications.
· Review and analyze new business cases during the installation process.
· Communicates effectively with sales to gather information and clarify sold case details.
· Maintains accurate records of all underwriting activities to ensure compliance with company policies and requirements.
· Collaborates with team members to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of the underwriting department.
· Provides exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to underwriting processes.

Required Qualifications
- Intermediate mathematical skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Less than 2 years of project, process experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 1 or more years of underwriting or financial analysis experience
- Experience with Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability lines of coverage
- Experience in negotiation
- Experience working with healthcare or claims related data

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
