The Accounts Payable Professional 2 prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts payable/receivable transactions. The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.Job Description
The Accounts Payable reporting analyst collects, analyze, and interpret accounts payable data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports on vendor payments, aging balances, and other key accounts payable metrics. Support the preparation of power point presentations and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Ensure accurate and timely payment processing to vendors, adhering to company policies and procedures. Reconcile accounts payable ledger to vendor statements and identify discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing activities and ensure all accounts payable transactions are recorded correctly. Participate in internal control testing and documentation, assist with audits related to accounts payable. May be involved in invoice verification, processing, and coding. May assist with vendor relationship management and communication. May contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable department. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent AP experience
- Strong proficiency with Excel, (having the ability to utilize tools including pivots, vlookups, writing formulas, if/then statements)
- Strong proficiency with Power Point with the ability to create professional slide deck/presentations
- Experience and/or ability to present findings to leadership
- Experience completing data analysis and/or reporting
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP

Location-
Hybrid home workstyle; Must be able to commute 1-2 days per week to the Overland Park, KS/MO or Louisville, Ky Waterside building/offices.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
