You’ll have the chance to work on a new initiative that’s going to make a significant impact on the top teams in these sports. </p> <p>As an <strong>Engineering Manager </strong>at Hudl, you’ll:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Drive technical strategy.</strong> Your strategic insights will help set the direction for our engineering efforts and ensure we stay ahead in the market.</li> <li><strong>Maintain efficiency.</strong> With a focus on outcomes over outputs, you’ll ensure your team delivers high-impact work efficiently. Your leadership will empower your team to make data-driven decisions and iterate quickly on feedback.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate across disciplines.</strong> You’ll work closely with leaders from various disciplines to plan and deliver enhancements across our product suite. Your ability to integrate diverse perspectives will be key to driving innovation and ensuring our products meet the highest standards.</li> <li><strong>Empower your team.</strong> A team of 4-8 Software Engineers will look to you for guidance, and you’ll provide them with autonomy to find the best solutions using their expertise.</li> <li><strong>Champion Agile practices.</strong> You’ll participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, playing a significant role in maintaining a strong team culture. You will build and lead a diverse and high-performing roster, driving Hudl’s mission forward.</li> </ul> <p>Wed like to hire someone for this role who lives near our offices in Lincoln, Omaha or Lexington, but were also open to remote candidates in Kansas City, Chicago, Austin or Dallas.</p> <h2>Must-Haves</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Experience leading others.</strong> You have a track record of mentoring, connecting with, and improving those around you.</li> <li><strong>Strong technical proficiency.</strong> You’re an expert in full-stack engineering, and you’ve spent time with cloud-based systems/services. You’re also an advocate of TDD and CI/CD, and you can drive engineering practices across any team.</li> <li><strong>Critical thinking skills. </strong>You’re able to come up with novel solutions to problems—it’s easy for you to think outside the box.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Nice-to-Haves</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Multi-level team experience.</strong> You’ve worked with teams of different levels of maturity simultaneously, and can tailor your approach to get the best results.</li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Professional background in relevant technologies.</strong> Experience with C#, React, React-Native, MongoDB and AWS are a plus.
