<div>The 1st Electrical Engineer is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the electrical plant, associated electrical systems, and electrical department personnel. </div> <h2> Key Responsibilities </h2> <ul><li>Repairs, maintains and solves electrical/electronic equipment, installations and machinery. Performs regular maintenance on elevators.</li><li>Ensure assigned electrical/Electronic equipment and systems are maintained and operated in accordance with the applicable regulations.</li><li>Properly supervise and coordinate the repairs and maintenance that is performed by assigned electrical department staff.</li><li>Responsible to understand how to restore power to the ship in emergency situations.</li><li>Ensure safety routines are followed when maintenance and electrical work is being conducted.</li><li>Assist IT with external communications when needed.</li><li>Always inform the Duty Engineer before electrical work is started, and ensure they are aware of what systems will be affected.</li><li>Is responsible for ensuring all AMOS items are up to date.</li><li>Works closely with the vessel’s Assistant Electrician and 2nd Electrical Engineer to maintain the Electrical/Electronic systems.</li><li>To be familiar with and execute the Seabourn HESS-MS appropriate to their position.</li><li>Supports and replaces the Chief Electrician if needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Chief Electrical Engineer</li></ul> <h2>  </h2>
