We’re looking for a senior backend engineer to help build our platform.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>Our ideal candidate should have strong technical skills as an engineer and architect; has a track record of building and supporting large scale software on public cloud providers such as AWS and Azure; is value-driven and cares deeply about culture; is self-managed, curious, and resourceful.</span></div><h3>What Youll Do</h3><ul><li>Design and implement new CI/CD infrastructure and tools to improve developer workflow and productivity.</li><li>Design and implement services on Kubernetes to support the Highspot workloads.</li><li>Design and implement processes to enhance the cloud infrastructure governance and improve access management of cloud resources.</li><li>Author high-quality runbooks and technical documentation.</li><li>Join the on-call rotation to handle critical production issues. </li></ul><h3>Your Background</h3><ul><li>8+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience, not including internships/co-ops.</li><li>Proficiency in at least one of the modern programming languages: Java, Python, Go</li><li>Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and other CNCF technologies.</li><li>Proficiency with CI/CD technologies and IaC technologies.</li><li>Proficiency in using observability tools to investigate production issues.</li><li>Extensive experience managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure such as load balancer, API gateway, ingress controller, rating limiter, etc.</li><li>Strong background in working with SaaS software platforms at scale.</li><li>Expertise in cloud governance is strongly preferred.</li><li>An entrepreneurial spirit: you’re agile, creative, resourceful, and tenacious as you solve problems and achieve team and company goals.</li><li>B.S/M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.</li></ul><div><span>Base salary range: $166,000 - $248,850 USD</span></div><div><span>Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>The above represents total expected compensation for this role.
