This team is responsible for delivering high-impact investments across the application stack designed to mitigate critical business risks, enhance engineering productivity, and ensure the long-term scalability, security, and maintainability of the Highspot platform.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving Highspot’s long-term technology vision and platform strategy, while also ensuring day-to-day operational excellence. You will lead a team of highly-skilled engineers, provide technical direction, collaborate across Engineering and Product, and ensure our core platform enables our team to deliver quickly and at high quality.</span></div><h3>What Youll Do</h3><ul><li>Lead and grow the App Platform team</li><li>Drive the technical roadmap and vision for the platform, providing a robust front-end and back-end foundation and tools to accelerate delivery and improve developer experience.</li><li>Lead initiatives to evolve our architecture towards a highly distributed, service-oriented model, including strategic refactoring of existing monolithic components.</li><li>Partner closely with Infrastructure teams to drive end-to-end developer experience improvements from local development through production deployment</li><li>Define standards, patterns, and practices for software development across Highspot</li><li>Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the long-term direction of Highspot’s SaaS platform, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, decoupled services.</li><li>Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, building a high-performing and inclusive team culture.</li><li>Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing visibility into roadmap progress, technical trade-offs, and organizational needs.</li></ul><h3>Your Background</h3><ul><li>10+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in engineering leadership roles.</li><li>Strong full-stack engineering background involving SPA web application development, distributed systems, relational and non-relational databases, and cloud infrastructure, with specific expertise in designing and evolving service-oriented architectures.</li><li>Demonstrated success in leading and executing complex refactoring efforts to decompose monolithic applications into microservices or other distributed patterns</li><li>A results-driven approach to removing friction from software development processes through platform developer experience, and tooling investments.</li><li>Proven track record of scaling SaaS platforms and leading teams responsible for mission-critical backend systems.</li><li>Ability to influence without authority with past experience successfully driving cross-functional engineering efforts.</li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Passion for developing people and building strong, healthy engineering teams.</li></ul><h3>Highly Desired</h3><ul><li>Recent hands-on experience developing in Ruby and TypeScript.</li><li>Past experience directly leading internal-facing developer experience or platform teams.</li></ul><h3>Why Highspot</h3><ul><li>A fast-growing SaaS company with market leadership and world-class customers.</li><li>An opportunity to shape the core technology foundation for Highspot’s next stage of growth.</li><li>A highly collaborative and supportive leadership team that values technical excellence and strong management.</li><li>Competitive compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities.</li></ul><div><span>Base salary range: $208,000 - $285,600 USD</span></div><div><span>Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>The above represents total expected compensation for this role.
