This pivotal role requires a professional with a strong background in software, electronics, and system-level certification programs. The ideal candidate will have participated in the entire lifecycle of a certification program and possess deep expertise in critical aerospace standards. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility while ensuring collaborative team engagement. Depending on program needs, this expert may serve as both a Quality Assurance Engineer and a Certification Verification Engineer (CVE).</span></div> <h2><strong>The day-to-day</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and participate in all phases of the certification lifecycle for complex software, electronics, and system developments, from planning through verification and approval.</p> </li> <li> <p>Apply in-depth knowledge of aerospace certification standards, specifically DO-178C, DO-254, and/or ARP4754A/B, to ensure compliance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Act as a Quality Assurance Engineer, overseeing process adherence, conducting audits, and ensuring the quality of certification artifacts.</p> </li> <li> <p>Perform duties as a Certification Verification Engineer (CVE), reviewing and approving certification data and evidence.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate certification requirements into design and development processes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Interface with regulatory authorities, including military authorities, as needed to support certification efforts.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prepare and present certification plans, reports, and documentation to internal stakeholders and external authorities.</p> </li> </ul> <h2><strong>You should apply if you</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p>You possess significant experience as a Certification Expert with a focus on software, electronics, and system-level certification.</p> </li> <li> <p>You have actively participated in the full lifecycle of at least one major certification program.</p> </li> <li> <p>You are proficient in at least one of the following standards: DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B, and are eager to expand your expertise in the others.</p> </li> <li> <p>You are capable of acting as both a Quality Assurance Engineer and a Certification Verification Engineer (CVE).</p> </li> <li> <p>You thrive in a hybrid work environment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Hold, or are demonstrably eligible to obtain, the required level of security clearance. </p> </li> </ul> <p><em><em>Note: We operate in an industry where women, as well as other minority groups, are systematically</em> <em>under-represented.
