About the roleProvide social services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of children and their families and maximize the family well-being and academic functioning of children. May assist parents, families, and students and advise teachers. What youll do<ul><li>Provide high-quality virtual social work to students according to the students IEPs.</li><li>Provide services to diverse groups of children with kindness, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude. </li><li>Provide behavior interventions and/or SEL supports as part of a school-based team.</li><li>Develop, monitor, and report on goals; determine needs, and design interventions utilizing research-based best practices.</li><li>Provide clear documentation in designated platforms that support the progress and growth of students toward their documented goals.</li><li>Participate in IEP meetings and other meetings as needed.</li><li>Oversee and ensure timely scheduling and rescheduling for assigned students through the use of the auto-scheduling system, and manually if necessary.</li><li>Monitor student attendance for services, completing timely documentation as required by schools.</li><li>Primary contact for all communication directly with school personnel, students, and families regarding services to students on caseload.</li><li>Offering mentoring and suggestions for teachers and other school personnel.</li></ul>QualificationsEducation and Experience:<ul><li>Masters degree in Social Work</li><li>Active state licensure where residing and where performing teletherapy services.  Licensure requirements may vary by state/school assignment.</li><li>State and Federal requirements for working in a school setting (FBI background check, Dept of Education Certification - if required by state)</li><li>School-based Teletherapy experience - preferred</li><li>Two years experience working in a school setting - preferred</li><li>NPI Number - preferred (we will assist in helping you apply)</li></ul>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <ul><li>Excellent Technology &amp; Computer proficiency, including the ability to learn new digital platforms.</li><li>Reliable Wi-Fi/Internet access.</li><li>Distraction-free work environment. </li><li>Knowledge and experience with Special Education Services and support to include writing PLOPs, IEP Goals, and determination of appropriate services and accommodations as part of the IEP team.</li><li>Knowledge &amp; experience in administering evaluations prefer experience in virtual administration.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication including the ability to independently draft professional documentation as part of the evaluation and IEP process.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability in day-to-day operations.</li></ul> Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: <ul><li>Manual dexterity to operate a telephone and enter data into a computer. </li><li>Facility to sit at a desk, conference table, or in meetings of various configurations for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation. </li><li>Facility to see and read, with or without visual aids, laws and codes, rules, policies, and other printed matter, and computer screens and printouts with or without reasonable accommodation. </li><li>Facility to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and to hear and understand speech on the telephone with or without reasonable accommodation. </li><li>Facility to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal conversations, in training sessions, and in other meetings with or without reasonable accommodation.</li><li>Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, work well under pressure, organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks.</li><li>Note: This list of essential functions and physical requirements is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.</li></ul> CompensationStarting pay is determined based on experience, qualifications and the state in which service is received. <ul><li>Hourly pay ranges from $45-$60 per hour</li></ul><hr /> This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
