We have an opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team! The Sr. Payroll Specialist will bring a passion for payroll with deep knowledge of multi-state Payroll processing, tax withholding, wage and hour, benefits and equity regulations as related to payroll compliance and auditing. They will serve as a subject matter expert ensuring the HR Operations/Payroll operation is compliant based on SOX, tax jurisdiction regulations, internal policies, processes, and programs. This is a critical, high visibility role processing a payroll for 2,500 employees and requiring high attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday –Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro’s temporary location in Boston, MA. A day in the life of a Sr. Payroll Specialist:At Hasbro, every day is an opportunity to excel. As a Sr. Payroll Specialist, you will:<ul><li>Process hourly and salaried payrolls for your assigned companies, applying a payroll checklist to ensure accuracy and timeliness.</li><li>Assist with the review and validation of payroll transactions.</li><li>Supervise and respond promptly to inquiries received in the corporate payroll inbox.</li><li>Fulfill monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requests.</li><li>Act as a primary point of contact for general ledger discrepancies, audit support, and adjustment requests.</li><li>Serve as a knowledge resource for the Payroll Representative on processing and ADP system questions.</li><li>Support quarter-end and year-end payroll closeout activities.</li><li>Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, including maintaining internal controls over payroll processes, ensuring audit readiness, and supporting documentation for financial reporting accuracy.</li><li>Provide back up support for the Sr. Payroll Manager to ensure continuity of operations.</li></ul> What youll bring:We’re seeking someone who’s not just an expert, but passionate about doing things right — every time.<ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, with 4 - 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll operations, ideally in a corporate setting for the United States and Canada.</li></ul><ul><li>FPC or CPP designation with PAYO (formerly APA) preferred</li><li>A deep understanding of multi-state tax laws and payroll compliance.</li><li>Expertise in ADP payroll systems required; familiarity with ADP Vantage or Workforce Now preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in SAP and related payroll/accounting platforms.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.</li><li>Strong analytical thinking with keen attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul> We are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action EmployerHasbro is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions.
