In this dynamic, high-touch role, reporting to the Manager of Accounting, you will be responsible for revenue accounting and reporting at our publicly traded, multi-billion-dollar global play and entertainment company. This role will be a key contributor to the licensing accounting process, specializing in revenue recognition, month-end close processes, account reconciliations and analyses with efficiency and accuracy. Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday –Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro’s temporary location in Boston, MA. A day in the life of the Senior Accountant:<ul><li>Lead revenue accounting processes under ASC 606, ensuring accurate calculations, classifications, and compliance. </li><li>Provide leadership and development to maintain a motivated and effective staff.</li></ul><ul><li>Partner with business operations and finance business partners to ensure accounting is aligned to business and operational needs.</li><li>Implement continuous improvement and modernization efforts across various systems and business processes to ensure efficiency.</li><li>Partner with internal and external auditors to assist in their completion of audits.</li><li>Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting and reporting implications.</li><li>Complete ad hoc projects.</li></ul> What You’ll Bring:<ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.</li><li>Minimum 3 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience. Big 4 experience preferred.</li><li>Must possess a strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions.
