We are looking for a Sr. Accountant, SEC Reporting to join our Corporate Finance team! Reporting to the Sr. Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, this role will help develop and complete critical steps in financial reporting process and various other accounting processes. Success in this role requires being driven and innovative, with a strong work ethic and a leadership style characterized by a straightforward style, approachability, a team orientation, and teamwork! Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday –Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro’s temporary location in Boston, MA. A day in the life of the Sr. Accountant, SEC Reporting &amp; Technical Accounting:<ul><li>Support external financial reporting process, including the preparation of external financial statements and disclosures as required by the Securities and Exchange Commission (Form 10-Q’s, Form 10-K’s, and Form 8-K’s).</li><li>Support a continuous improvement by reviewing current processes and helping to suggest areas of improvement to facilitate a more efficient SEC and financial reporting process.</li><li>Supervise and remain informed on new and proposed accounting and regulatory developments and evaluate their potential effect on the Company and its financial statements, including but not limited to items issued by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB.</li><li>Work with the Finance organization to ensure the Company’s compliance with generally accepted accounting principles by consulting on issues and through technical accounting and reporting training.</li><li>Conduct research and analysis of complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to management.</li><li>Perform analysis and special projects, as required.</li><li>Support SOX compliance and assist in the coordination of the annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors.</li><li>Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting implications.</li><li>Complete ad hoc projects assigned by senior management, including analysis of business operations, proposed accounting treatment of significant or unusual transactions, or other accounting and finance-related matters.</li></ul> What you’ll bring:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.</li><li>Minimum 4 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions.
