Position Summary
At Harness, Product Marketing Managers are the critical link between our Security products, our customers, and the market. Our team defines product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies that position Harness Security offerings as the leading AI-native solutions for modern software delivery.
This role will focus specifically on Harness’ Security modules — including Security Testing Orchestration (STO), Software Supply Chain Assurance, and Governance & Compliance — ensuring our platform is recognized for helping organizations integrate security into every stage of their software lifecycle. You will work closely with Product Management, Sales, and broader Marketing teams to deeply understand the evolving threat landscape, the needs of DevSecOps and AppSec practitioners, and how Harness unique security capabilities differentiate us.

About the role
- Own messaging, positioning, and value propositions for Harness Security products, aligned to market trends and customer needs.
- Develop and maintain content including solution briefs, blogs, videos, presentations, product sheets, email/campaign copy, and customer-facing assets — all with a Security-first narrative.
- Deliver training and enablement for internal teams (sales, customer success, partners) to ensure consistent security messaging.
- Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap decisions based on customer feedback and competitive insights.
- Analyze funnel performance for Security products and collaborate with growth marketing and demand gen teams to optimize results.
- Represent Harness Security at webinars, events, conferences, and virtual summits as a subject matter expert.
- Maintain competitive intelligence on security platforms, AppSec, DevSecOps, software supply chain, and governance solutions.
- Help source and create customer success stories showcasing Harness’ impact on software security.
- Constantly seek ways to innovate and improve Harness’ Security product marketing programs.
About you
- 7+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, solutions engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong background in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Application Security domains.
- Working understanding of Security Testing, Secure SDLC, software supply chain security, cloud-native security tools, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC2, NIST, ISO).
- Hands-on technical experience or fluency in modern cloud, software delivery, or cybersecurity environments.
- Clear and compelling storyteller — you can translate complex security concepts into simple, differentiated business value.
- Data-driven decision-maker, capable of analyzing funnel data and measuring marketing impact.
- Strong collaborator across marketing, product, and field organizations.
- Comfortable working at a fast pace in a hyper-growth startup environment.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $168,000 and $180,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
