Job Summary
The Benefits Analyst/Specialist is responsible for the administration, analysis, and execution of employee benefits programs. This role ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while enhancing employee satisfaction through effective benefits management.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, wellness initiatives, and other employee perks.
- Monitor employee benefits data transmission to different vendors and develop and refine processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with benefits vendors and insurance providers for issues and solutions.
- Conduct bi-weekly Benefits New Hire Orientations.
- Assist in benefits enrollment processes, including new hires, life event changes, and open enrollment.
- Assist with Leave of Absence request filing.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and documentation in HRIS and other benefits platforms.
- Support the development of benefits communication materials, such as newsletters, FAQs and wellness campaigns.
- Analyze benefits utilization data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
- Assist with U.S. and international benefits projects.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR-related roles.
- Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations.
- Experience with International benefits is a plus.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification.
- Experience with benefits data analysis and reporting.
- Previous experience working with large organizations or multi-state benefits administration.
