Our main goal in CODE is to make every company, a wellness company. From knowing about Wellhub, and getting access to exclusive benefits, to using our vast partners network, it is in the end-user experience.  CODE teams are responsible for developing and maintaining Wellhubs App, frontend and  backend services, and Design System and work closely with product, UX, and data teams to create an excellent experience for the users of our platform. Our mission as Challenges &amp; Gamefication Squad is to make users have more fun using Wellhub Services. So, we are creating new products to engage the users. Also, we are working closely with health data platforms (like AppleHealth and Google Health) to have a simple way to access and share user health data across the Wellhub ecosystem. <h1>YOUR IMPACT</h1> As a Senior Software Engineer, you are a passionate developer who is driven by getting things done in high quality and timely. You will be accountable for your decisions and possess a high level of ownership over the products you are delivering. You must be seen as one of the technical references by your team and take ownership of some critical features, perform pull-requests reviews, actively take part in all the architectural decisions of the squad, and mentor less experienced developers. You are a data-driven person who asks for data to support product decisions before blindly implementing things. You simplify the scope of what you are constantly developing. You are eager to learn and share knowledge and improve your toolset of technical, business continuity, and communication skills to provide more and more impact to the company. As a Senior Software Engineer, you: <ul> <li>Driven to deliver timely, high-quality work. Perform insightful pull-request reviews and build reusable code for future use</li> <li>Be data-driven and participate in and/or lead architectural decisions, share improvement opportunities, bring innovation to the table, and make sure design docs are up to date</li> <li>Interact with the product team and stakeholders to impact the business</li> <li>Ensure successful deliveries and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys</li> <li>Take ownership of critical features, accountable and possess a high level of ownership by following up engineering and product KPIs</li> <li>Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure devs are proud of their work</li> <li>Technical reference for your team, spread development best practices such as code review, pair programming, TDD. Bring wellbeing to the forefront of work, and create a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable taking care of themselves, taking time off, and finding work-life balance.</li> </ul> <h1>WHO YOU ARE</h1> <h2>We expect you to have the following qualifications:</h2> <ul> <li>A true team player who loves working towards both team and individual goals with at least 5 years of experience in web development.</li> <li>Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications</li> <li>Experience with at least two different programming languages such as Go, Scala, Kotlin, or Java</li> <li>Experience with SQL/NoSQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls</li> <li>Experience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS, etc., and an in-depth understanding of their use cases and pitfalls</li> <li>Experienced in implementing prototypes and in practices and concepts such as MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for rolling-out features to production</li> <li>Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complex analysis.</li> <li>Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking</li> <li>Experience with microservices and high volume distributed systems</li> <li>Experience with Cloud-based architectures in the AWS</li> <li>Strong communication skills, including verbal and written English and Portuguese</li> <li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience</li> <li>You have the ability to work both autonomously and collaborate in a team environment</li> <li>A self-starter who can multi-task and adapt to a fast-growing organization</li> <li>You enjoy working on multiple priorities and projects</li> <li>You are tenacious and goal-oriented</li> </ul> <h2>The following would be considered a plus:</h2> <ul> <li>Experience with System Integrations</li> <li>Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence)</li> <li>Experience in our <a href="https://stackshare.io/gympass/gympass">Tech Stack</a> in general</li> </ul> We recognize that individuals approach job applications differently.
