Job Family:General Coding Travel Required:None Clearance Required:None<div><div><div><div>What You Will Do:<ul><li>Assists coders, compliant documentation management staff, and the Internal Revenue Integrity team with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing correct code assignment.</li><li>Reviews medical records flagged through the SMART (Inpatient and Outpatient tools) software for patterns of coding errors and opportunities for coder and /or clinical education.</li><li>Serves as a technical expert/resource for department manager, staff, physicians, administrative, and external customers to provide information or clarification accurate and ethical coding and documentation standards, guidelines and regulatory requirements</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by management</li></ul> What You Will Need:<ul><li>Requires a University Degree and minimum 4-6 years of prior relevant experience (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)</li><li>RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-H</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Suite</li></ul> What Would Be Nice To Have:<ul><li>Bachelors degree from an accredited Health Information Management program</li></ul></div></div></div></div>The annual salary range for this position is $53,000.00-$88,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
