Job Family:Software Development &amp; Support (Digital) Travel Required:None Clearance Required:NoneWhat You Will Do:  The API Engineer will work closely with clients, solutions architects and technical/functional leads across Guidehouse digital teams and market segments to support client projects and provide solutions for growth efforts and capabilities build out.<ul><li>Serve as a key member of integration team to support technical challenges/demos, building innovative API solution prototypes using modern API architectures and integration technologies.</li><li>API design and development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure APIs using RESTful principles and modern API gateway patterns to facilitate seamless integration between enterprise systems.</li><li>Work collaboratively with product managers, software developers, security specialists, platform engineers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to design, build,  test, and deploy high-value, operationally resilient API products that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.</li><li>Facilitate seamless integration between loan platforms (LoanIQ, AFSVision) and other enterprise systems including customer portals, online banking platforms, risk management systems, and external partner systems using APIs.</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation for internal and external developers, including information on endpoints, request/response formats, authentication, and error handling.</li><li>Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests for APIs to ensure functionality, reliability, and security.</li></ul> What You Will Need:<ul><li>Bachelors degree.  Additional Four (4) years of experience will be needed in lieu of degree</li><li>US Citizen, Green Card Holder, Green Card – EAD</li><li>4-10 years of prior relevant experience in API development, configuration, testing, and implementation</li><li>3+ years of experience with financial services platforms and loan management systems (LoanIQ, AFSVision preferred)</li><li>Proven ability to work collaboratively with team members and contribute to solving integration and API challenges.</li><li>Proven ability to develop API solutions and use technical skills to implement and test API integrations effectively.</li><li>An understanding of the Agile and Scaled Agile practices and principles. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
