As a member of the Data Experience team, you will actively contribute to a swift software release cycle and the overall success of Greenhouse. Learn more about our engineering culture <a href="https://engineering.greenhouse.io">here</a>! <h2> Who will love this job</h2> <ul> <li>A mentor - youre passionate about guiding and developing your peers, always ready to share your knowledge, lead projects, and contribute to the teams collective success</li> <li>A doer – youre driven to get things done, act with agility, and adapt seamlessly to dynamic environments</li> <li>A problem solver – you think about the bigger picture, connect the dots, and efficiently resolve issues</li> <li>An excellent communicator – you have a knack for explaining technical processes concisely (even to non-engineers), and work well with cross-functional teams</li> </ul> <h2> What you’ll do</h2> <ul> <li>Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to define requirements and drive product development from conception to launch</li> <li>Lead the planning and execution of projects within your triad (Product Manager, Designer, and Engineering Lead), effectively scoping and prioritizing work</li> <li>Contribute across the entire software development lifecycle,  including implementation, delivery, technical project/product management, and production support, directly impacting reporting functionality and user experience in Greenhouse Recruiting</li> <li>Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable production code for our core services</li> <li>Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to deliver new features and enhancements</li> <li>Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their growth and development</li> <li>Actively participate in and lead team meetings, such as stand-ups, grooming sessions, and retrospectives, to ensure effective communication and progress</li> <li>Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to uphold code quality and best practices</li> <li>Maintain and improve code quality through comprehensive testing and debugging</li> </ul> <h2> You should have</h2> <ul> <li>5+ years experience in writing production code (required)</li> <li>Experience leading or owning projects and driving them to completion (required)</li> <li>Experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python (Ruby preferred)</li> <li>Strong understanding of Javascript or Typescript fundamentals, including React</li> <li>Experience working in the full stack</li> <li>Strong understanding of architectural patterns</li> <li>REST/web development experience</li> <li>Experience partnering closely with Product and Design partners</li> <li>Experience with Rails, preferred</li> <li>Experience with analytical databases, a plus</li> <li>Your own unique talents! The national pay range for this role is $154,000 - $206,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidates experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including stock option awards, bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
