Reporting to the Controller, this person will be responsible for the completion of our federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support. Help identify tax-saving opportunities and support managing tax risks.</li> <li>Conduct research on tax implications related to new projects, product launches, and international business activities to inform decision-making.</li> </ul> <li>Tax Compliance &amp; Reporting: </li> <ul> <li>Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, local, and international tax returns, including estimated tax payments (corporate, indirect, etc.). </li> <li>Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. </li> <li>Ensure timely and accurate tax provision calculations for financial reporting (ASC 740).</li> <li>Timely preparation of routine tax accruals (e.g. above-the-line business taxes), and account reconciliations for month-end close/</li> <li>Assist with tax cash forecasting to support liquidity and financial planning.</li> </ul> <li>International Tax: </li> <ul> <li>Manage international tax matters (e.g. international expansion).</li> <li>Timely preparation of Transfer pricing computation for accounting</li> <li>Timely preparation of contemporaneous documentation with the assistance of third-party service providers.</li> <li>Manage permanent establishment risk through collaboration with the People, Payroll, and Legal teams. </li> </ul> <li>Tax Technology &amp; Process Improvement: </li> <ul> <li>Identify and implement tax technology solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy. </li> <li>Develop and maintain robust internal controls related to tax processes.</li> </ul> <li>Tax Research: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on the company.</li> <li>Additional projects and responsibilities as business needs require</li> </ul> <h2>You should have</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Masters in Taxation (MST) or JD/LLM a plus.</li> <li>CPA designation strongly preferred.</li> <li>8+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within a SaaS company or a public accounting firm serving SaaS clients.</li> <li>Deep understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax laws, including multi-state taxation.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of international tax principles, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and BEPS.</li> <li>Experience with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and financial statement tax disclosures.</li> <li>Proven ability to manage tax compliance, audits, and controversy.</li> <li>Experience with tax technology platforms and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Avalara).</li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Your own unique talents! The national pay range for this role is $153,000 - $230,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidates experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including stock option awards, bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role. For US-based employees, we offer short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan and company match. Non-exempt employees accrue up to 20-25 days of paid vacation time annually, depending on tenure, and exempt employees have flexible paid time off (PTO).
